Eoin Walker

MSc, BSc, FEWM. Dip Immediate Medical Care

Expert Paramedic Practitioner

Eoin has been a paramedic since 2004. He has recently completed work for ICRC – Red Cross as a pre-hospital delegate to the Somali government based in Nairobi.

He has also spent 6 years as an Advanced Paramedic Practitioner (APP) treating high critical care patients in London (London Ambulance Service). He has worked on London’s helicopter medical service for the past 10 years and had a 20-year pre-hospital career. The pre-hospital arena is where Eoin has spent most of his professional career as a critical care paramedic.

A variety of care settings, both national and international, has fostered a wider appreciation of pre-hospital care on an international platform. This has served to stretch Eoin’s leadership abilities in delivering education (combined classroom & simulation-based training) to politicians & WHO country leads. Eoin has also led this for a multi-disciplinary team (doctors, paramedics, and nurses) throughout the MENA. Leadership within this context has developed his ability to debrief & reflect on how to optimise the dissemination of information to Arabic-speaking delegates. It has also placed Eoin on an international platform to teach & collaborate with technical experts within pre-hospital care & public health forums.

Eoin is the author of two podcasts, the first a clinical one (Pre-hospital care podcast) and the second one is a mental health and wellbeing podcast – Restore with Eoin Walker. He has over 105K listeners in 120 countries.
