Samantha Rogerson

Consultant in Physiotherapy & Complex Physical Disability

Samantha is a highly specialist physiotherapy expert in paediatric and adults with profound and multiple physical disability.

She has expert clinical knowledge in the assessment and treatment of complex postural and movement impairments. Samantha is a clinical lead in the NHS and currently manages a highly complex caseload of paediatric and adult patients with multi-pathology and significant health and social care needs working closely with the multidisciplinary team.

Samantha is trained in Bobath and Aquatic Therapy. Samantha has a keen interest in 24-hour postural management, manual handling and medical devices management.

Samantha has extensive experience of working with patients with complex neurological conditions including brain and spinal injuries. Her practice is underpinned by evidence-based knowledge and in line with national policy guidelines.

Samantha has experience of service development, working with multiple care organisations, developing workforce planning in response to clinical service demands and delivered training across her AHP discipline.

Samantha has worked with service users and multidisciplinary and multiagency professionals to review collective service specification across the Greater Manchester Clinical Commissioning areas, which involved benchmarking information across the services both locally and nationally to determine standards of clinical care.

In her spare time, Samantha enjoys exploring the world in her campervan.
